He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 1998 from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. A proud military veteran who served for twelve years in the United States Navy. He completed his service at the rank of Commander in 2010 at MacDill Airforce Base in Tampa, FL. Throughout his military career Dr. Byars continued his education, completing a yearlong fellowship in oral surgery.
Prior to opening Smile 360 in 2019, Dr. Byars worked with Coast Dental and then Dental Care Alliance, both in the Tampa area.
